“This was kind a hard album to like on the first few listens, particularly as a fan of previous RJD2 albums, Soul Position, and any other point where he put his hands on-- whatever the heck he puts his hands on. It eventually grows on you, and "you never had it so good" most of all.”

“although his singer/songwriter turn was quite a surprise for some people, this song remains one of the highlights from the album. it's a honest and heartfelt piece from a guy who's getting older and looking to settle down. a real song about real things - can't front on that. and damned catchy, too...”
