About Era Sick: a prologue to Destroying Beauty

The "Era Sick" EP is a five-song compilation created by reclusive music maverick Rick Lucy as a prologue to his full-length album "Destroying Beauty" (2009). The project transpires from his recent psychological collapse provoked by an unsettled urge to create a self-defining musical work. Determined and inspired to create, he undergoes self-induced medical treatments to reconnect to his awakening. The producer-composer utilizes a variety of handpicked writers and vocalists to underscore the album. Vocal/Writer contributors include Shayfer James, Malene Younglao, Dolphin, & Bridgette Barkin. Dolphin also supplies a guitar solo at the end of "The Pulse". Artwork by Anthony Harrison.

“If I was at a show I would dance to this. It is a lil trippy though towards the middle. I gave it a bad review the first time and had to edit it once I listened through the whole song!”

“Rick Lucy has a unique sound. His is the kind of music you find at the start of movies. Eerie melodies, simple beats, bizarre mixtures of 21st century alternative sounds topped with electronic-flavoured ice cream. Its not to miss, but you've got to be careful with this tight genre. Personally, this is on my iTunes top 25 most played.”

“Great vocals, and beats to this track, it's certainly got me hooked and I will be downloading more of this artists work!”

“This is the best of the tracks. Sexy female vox, trip hop sound. Very nice. I was not a big fan of the ones with the guy singing.”

“Total punk and trip hop influence. Love the groove and love this girl's voice. My FAVE. ”
