“This album may have generated a lot of hate mail from blues purists, but it introduced me to the wonders of hill country blues. By remixing the blues, Burnside, Rothrock, and the folks at Fat Possum pulled me into the blues world that I knew must exist, but hadn't been able to find until then. I love the mix of genres, and also discovered a love for his older stuff, going on to explore the likes of Junior Kimbrough and other label mates. If you like the blues, and you like to hop to a beat, get this album.”

“This is a song from Too Bad Jim, but made completely different. Shortened by 2 1/2 minutes and given a real edge. This represents a blues master expertly reworking an old song with new techniques.”
