“A not-in-love song...beautiful, sweet and sad.”

“lol any song thats starts off oh Holy Crap and its subject is the Scooby Doo Detective agency gettgin high AS I ALWAYS SUSPECTED is awesome. Check it out its not as cheesy as i made it sound.”
josiebeth Rec'd this on Feb 3, 2007:

“This is my favorite populuxe tune. Rock and roll with a touch of reggae and clever lyrics. Very smart tune.”
CraigH Rec'd this on Jan 29, 2008:
Street Cred: 11180 Rec's: 500
“This one never fails to bring a smile. "I don't belong here". Here's my favorite line: "Envy growing fat with fear while your friends are dancing downtown, and downtown is a bust".”
CraigH Rec'd this on May 2, 2008:
Street Cred: 11180 Rec's: 500
“The sublime pleasure of Apple's "Shuffle Play" has returned this one to the top of the playlist, and it's remarkable to have remained among my (let's face it, practically extinct these days) "not yet recommended" Populuxe list. "Everything's alright, everything's alright, when there isn't any light".”
CraigH Rec'd this on Mar 16, 2007:

“Another gem from Populuxe's "deep in an american evening" that sings and swings.”
CraigH Rec'd this on May 29, 2007:
Street Cred: 11180 Rec's: 500
“This one snuck up on me. Maybe it was the reference to Berchtesgaden, and the absence of all innocence... Trudging up the hill, feeling my stomach tightening... I'd give almost anything to... be here... walking in my house. One of their best.”
CraigH Rec'd this on Jan 29, 2008:
Street Cred: 11180 Rec's: 500
“Perhaps the emotional and aural antithesis of Torque, (though born of the same essence), Luminescence is a disembodied float through the haze of "they do what they want to do".”
CraigH Rec'd this on Jan 29, 2008:
Street Cred: 11180 Rec's: 500
“If for no better reason than asking the critical question: "What is the difference between you and me now?" this song would be worth the thoughtful listen. But I also happen to be a closet Alice In Chains fan, and Rob and the boys rock the chorus on this one in that same dirty groove the Alice Boys have turned into a career, and it never fails to please.”
CraigH Rec'd this on Jun 19, 2008:
Street Cred: 11180 Rec's: 500
“For everyone who remembers Dark Side Of The Moon, but never how they got there, High tells the whole dark and dreamlike story. "Where Everything is Beautiful".”
