“This album is written during relaxing
trips to Bali, and the Meditation album
title suits it well, in theory and practice!
I think this one song has a connection
to a Bali village.....But my private personal extra unofficial Meditation detour take...
Is a beautifully isolated stretch of beach
sand strip, lounging down with knees pulling up and away from the ever encroaching eveningtide. Which is shushingly rippling towards me,
to and fro, urging me to simmer down
and diffuse tensions and thoughts.
The ocean coolingly rushing and dampening the surrounding supple billowing sand dunes.
Lowering and glowingly are the luminous,
sighing and swirling clouds....
Angelicly embracing the backdrop canvas of the pink and purple skies of the settling sunset. Merging and leveling with the powerfully expansive ocean horizon, heighting my awareness of the cascading Indian summer sun's glow,
draping it's weight warmly over my soul.
Releasing my center point, lifting higher
and surging in unison with the oceans tempo,
filtering inward to a luxurious inner calm
of serene wellbeing!”

“I think this might work well on a soundtrack
for a War movie, uprising and aftermath scenes, people fleeing for safer ground
from the enemy. or (Mash)like scenes of
medics rushing to transport the injured
on field stretchers.
This song is from the album Timor, and all
songs are written during the ongoing turmoil,
chaos and crisis of opposing sides, and the frightful terror of being situated at the
virtual epicentre of the maniacal pandemonium. For me, sometimes when songs are instrumental, the backround story is the missing lyric link, changing my whole handle or perception
and appreciation for the song.”

“Cutting guitars, fabulous rhythms and witty, biting lyrics make for fun rocking in this piece of musical advice to megalomaniacs - and you can dance to it!”

“This song tells the story of Major Alfredo Reinado, the leader of an armed rebellion in East Timor in 2006-8. Thousands of people were displaced and their homes destroyed in the resulting chaos, which was euphemistically referred to as the "Situation". Reinado himself died in a gun battle at President Ramos-Horta's house on 11 Feb 2008, in which Ramos-Horta was seriously wounded. Reinado's death lead soon after to the surrender of the remaining rebels. ”

“A snappy, boppy song that has a witty dig at politicians and others who want to procrastinate on addressing global warming. Dry humor drips from the lyrics and you won't be able to resist humming along to the infectious beat. Good music, clever songwriting and a call to action, all in one. ”
