“Owen is Mike Kinsella from Joan of Arc and Cap'n Jazz, doing stuff way more mellow and simple than those bands... This, his first album, is still my fave, and I've been thrashing this song for years now. As the title suggests, it's a pretty mopey number "If you don't wanna be with a deadbeat like me / I won't blame you" but I dunno, if you've seen live footage he seems like he's just a bit of a smart-ass. Lovely acoustic guitar throughout.”
