When Michelle Cacciatore was little, all she ever dreamt about was being a Broadway singer. She pursued it relentlessly throughout her grammar school years, and on through high school and beyond when she landed a role in the off-Broadway production of 'Jekyll and Hyde.' But a funny thing happened on the way to the theatre...Michelle realized that maybe this wasn't where she belonged.

Meanwhile - off to the side - she had a little musical project going. She'd sit down, write a song, and maybe even play a show every now and then. As Michelle's love of the theater began to diminish, she started realizing that some of the same people would be at several of those shows. Spectators started asking for recorded work and with that a new project and, ultimately, a new life direction was decided upon.

What you are now about to [hopefully] order will likely be one of the more personal musical statements in your CD collection. Recorded entirely in a friend's bedroom, LONGER THAN EXPECTED took about a year to write and an additional half year to commit to tape. Starts, stops, and in-betweens almost brought production to a halt more times than anyone involved would care to recall. But despite all that, this record has made it out the other end in the best shape possible. It might be LONGER THAN EXPECTED, but it was certainly worth the wait.
