“Nothing gets as much of a consistent rise live, and it's made me listen more intently as to why... It's such a quaint minor-key melody... It can't be just that... Then you hear that guitar. And how much Melvern puts into the vocals. Pretty soon you notice that Johnny's swinging the bass, and Bob's harmonies and back beat are all over you. That single-note staccato that's so fast it's almost a whole chord all by itself is what does it for me, in the end. I do love this song.”

“This is the other one (besides Two Bottles of Beer) that compelled me to learn to play the ukulele, because listening along and singing along just isn't enough anymore. And I have to stop to say that that wandering lead line that Dave weaves all underneath is one of the most inspired solos I know--simple, maybe, but so tasty and sweet. And the harmonies... "About the moon over Ha-va-naaaaah..." And then the conversation between the guitar and the uke... Where was I??? There goes that lead line again! Yes.”

“The classic intro/opener to the live show, and also the one that lets you know that you better start banging on the tables for the encore, cuz, just like on the record, it's the last one, too. The sound is perfect.”
