“Rufus' father, though it is not immediately apparant. Loudon is a songwriter, and his singing if for tranmitting his music and ideas. He does not have Rufus' amazing voice, but he captures real banal personal slices of life in ways that are beautiful in their telling.
I like this song and others on the album, but the first song is just great. I just bought it on eMusic. Check out his newest album on eMusic if you like this.
He has older stuff that is good, but I really like the newer material. Something that is just more .... just better I guess. At least it connects with me more now”

“the more I listen the more i like. LOVE the violins in this. Life in America. The sadness of what we do to ourselves and each other.
the song builds and tells a great story.”

“A fine soft melody and a pean to the healing properties of movies. I love the subtle orchestration, each piece, voice, piano, guitar, drums, slowly moves along.
This shows what a insightful musician Loudon is!”

“DAMN. Already own this, but it is alos a fun song, lots of vocal ups and downs in a traditional bluesy way”

“takes a while to get started, as he sing/talks through the background. A fun frolic about loss of inspiration.
nice pedal steel near the end of the middle”

“a beautiful slightly haunting song about youthful indiscretions. Powerful and confessional, and about arrogance and presumably the humility that maturity brings”
