About This IS

The lizette & band has an interesting history. It all started with Lizette von Panajott making her own music.
Both small and big labels soon showed interest in her project. She promptly rejected all offers due to the fact that she did not feel they could guarantee her artistic freedom.
She completed the album and while doing so en enormous interest developed on internet where she had over 60.000 downloads of her songs in a very short space of time. Her fan base grew and stretched all over the planet. They started "screaming" for the album and Lizette started to look around for the right partner to release the album with.
The Swedish label Blue Lemon International found themselves in her path with her demanded that they take her on...they did.
With a contract securing her artistic freedom and beneficial financial deal she felt she was in good hands and got really creative. She decided to take the complete album to a new level and asked bass player Tomas to lay down live bass on 'Alright'. This turned out fantastic and created a new dimension in her sound. Tomas was then asked to redo bass on the whole album. With this done, negotioations started with the label to actually add live instruments to the whole production.
Artistic freedom was the keyword here...so what could they say. They agreed.
Tomas was asked to join, which he did.
Lizette then contacted Ockee whom she had played with in the past and he jumped aboard and added the necessary keyboards.
Lizette who has been "allergic" to guitars, ran in to Magnus, a guitar virtuo who himself was allergic to guitar!!!
They got together in the studio and the result speaks for itself. After some serious convincing Magnus decided to join and is today a proud member of the band.
A drummer was missing. The label found a brilliant drummer and in to the studio they went. Brilliant playing but not the result Lizette wanted. She also wanted to find a drummer who would stay in the band after the recording; something this drummer could not do due to involvment in other bands. Lizette decided to test the skills of her friend Alex who had the right personality but would he perform to her liking?
In to the studio they went again and - magic. Alex was asked to join and the rest is history.
So after adding all the new instruments, the album was remixed and finally mastered.

"This is the band of my dreams - crazy personalities and brilliant musicians who as a band melt together as one powerful force." - Lizette von Panajott 2003
