“nothing special. Just a simple story. Nice mandolin. Country rythym, but her voice undoes any bad taste that might have in my mouth. Great orchestration. Layered without taking anything away from her voice and the feeling”

“OK. this is a straight up country song. So shoot me”

“This song is slower and much more about her just singing a story. Just a beautiful warm uplifting song that builds nicely toward the middle and then the end. the band compliments her voice really well on this one”

“gittarec everything of hers I vought her. This is a litle odd because there is so much more orchestration than she usually has, and maybe than this needs, but her voice doesn't get lost”

“One of the most innocent beautiful singers I know. I already own the best songs on here, and they are wonderful. "Bees" is just amazingly beautiful, and "Old Downtown", and "Poor Ellen smith" are also really good. Krisitn Hersh does a great rendition fo "poor Ellen Smith" as well she is the angel on your shoulder compared to all those demons on the other one (Kristin hersh), I call her alt country because I refuse to like country. like all her other songs this is straight forward singing with a straightforward semi country band behind her with violins and simple beat. But her voice floats above it all and makes you want to ask her dad for her hand in marriage”
