About Rockers

"When you build something from the ground up, you have the freedom to construct an establishment that has no restrictions. We have no limits, the possibilities are endless."

Words used by bassist and vocalist Al Moews when asked to surmise the future of his band. Only time will tell what lies in store for the Lawrence, KS group. But Rock and Roll is far from dead - at least in the souls of the four members of KTP.

Since the birth of KTP in small town Kansas in the latter part of 2000, they have managed to out live fads and trends, lasted through line-up changes and countless all-nite drives, and overcome every obstacle a DIY punk band would need to hurdle. All the while remaining true and honest to their roots and music.

With several self-released recordings and self sponsored tours under their belt, KTP has begun to make a name for themselves nation wide. That name, derived from a handle held by an adolescent friend from the band's past who is said to be “...a true king of the plain”, continues to tally up shows and sing the gospel of Punk Rock - for the aging true die hard and every virgin ear of today’s wide eyed youth. Remaining the most active band in the Heartlands, KTP brings an unparalleled passion and fire to the underground scene.

With the release of Rockers, KTP's second full-length album from Zero Youth Records, the band successfully fuses the grit of punk rock with snarl of rock'n'roll to create and energy not often heard. The onslaught of buzzing guitars and spit-in-your-face vocals will keep you glued to your stereo for the full record-- and after a browsing through the lyric sheet you're sure to be singing along with every song on the next listen through. There is no sign of these Kansas boys slowing down, and thats for damn sure.
