About Bigger Than Me

Songwriter Kirk Gramcko, having traveled all over the musical landscape for years, has returned home, bringing with him a gig bag filled with 10 original songs for his new CD “Bigger Than Me.”

Energetic and engaging, this CD strikes an ideal balance over a range of styles and moods, from high energy rock & roll (“Gimme More”), to melodic lyrical laments (“What’s the Matter With Me” and “Tears Won’t Come”), to selections that fall into those hard-to-pin-down genres.

Just listen to the title track, “Bigger Than Me,” with its surreal sonic reverberations, mystical lyrics, and panoramic images. Contrast that with “Nineteen” which combines a frenzied, driving pulse with a haunting, achy feel. The collection on this CD is no tired cliché-train chugging along the same old worn-out track, but rather a sonic journey twisting through an ever-changing landscape of sounds, thoughts, and atmospheres.

“Great vocals with tasty mix of acoustic and electric instrumentation. The album covers a wide range of styles so it is hard to name just one other band this sounds like. But definitely has influences from Beatles, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Pink Floyd, to name a few. All over the map. Great stuff!”
