About Katie WIlde
KATIE WILDE grew up in Thousand Oaks, California. The daughter of singer/songwriter Danny Wilde of The Rembrandts, she was raised in a musically charged environment. Being the daughter of a professional musician had its advantages. Her home was filled with musical instruments, a recording studio and a father that was her biggest fan. Piano became her instrument of choice. She gave up on lessons at an early age because she played by ear instead of sight (a constant frustration to her teachers.) After several years of writing tunes she has pigeonholed her own distinctive sound, nostalgic yet completely contemporary. Her vocal stylization is truly unique. Her songs are mysterious and cinematic. Close your eyes and get lost in her soft but sultry voice.17 RECs for this Album

“A wonderfully langourous swing number reminiscent in places of the 1940s. Katie has a lovely jazzy warble in her voice but it's sophisticated rather than distracting.”

“A shimmering, timeless delight of a song, which will carry you away.”
