About Listen
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Jim Meese began playing piano at age 3. His first teacher was his father, a singer and accordionist. The youngest of five children, he grew up surrounded by all types of music. Intrigued by the Progressive Rock of the 70s, Jim began writing music as early as 6th grade. He performed in bands throughout high school and college/music school which he attended on scholarship. In 1991, upon completing his band Cinema's first album, "5 by 3" and his first CD as an Engineer/Producer, "Newz From Nowhere" by Rubaiyat (he also played keyboards and contributed to the singing), Jim moved to Florida to attend the prestigious recording school, Full Sail. After finishing with extremely high marks, he moved back to Ohio to open his own recording studio, record label and publishing company.
From 2002- 2005 he focused on the recording and release of his first solo album- "Listen".
He is currently playing live and in the pre-production stage of his second album.
