“What's not to like? An amiestreet find that is well worth the free download AND the recommendation! This is a great song from a singer-songwriter who can actually sing and write. This song demonstrates what seems like an innate knack for strong (& melancholy) lyrics and catchy, interesting, melodies - I can understand the beatles references. You can tell this guy is talented and that life's knocked him around a bit. ”

“I particularly enjoyed the piano and lyrics in this song. It felt right.. almost like it took little effort to get this song written.. but only because it is so full of true emotion, which we can all, for the most part, really relate to. Especially in my case! Great song, keep it coming PLEASE :)”

“Great melody, great lyrics, great vocal...what is not to like....”

“Often the first song and title track to a record is the best song on the album - and while this song is definitely one of the stronger tracks - the whole album pleases. There are definitely elements here from the early 90's that, since not overdone, are pretty endearing (especially if you grew up with soul asylum, ron sexsmith, etc...) Bottom line is that the entire album is filled with such solid songwriting and such wonderful vocals, that any hint of sounding derivative is forgiven. At $5, the album is definitely worth the purchase.”

“Well crafted, thoughtful, great melodies...what is not to like.... I bought the whole record and really am enjoying it. Jason Karaban is my favorite new artist.”

“I can't get this song out of my head... Jason Karaban is the real deal, a natural songwriter with vocals to bring them to life. And the haunting backing vocals are the cherry on top of this melodic track! ”

“Sobriety Kills is a great album opener reminding me of Jeff Tweedy, Ron Sexsmith and bit of Jesse Malin. ”
