“Often the first song and title track to a record is the best song on the album - and while this song is definitely one of the stronger tracks - the whole album pleases. There are definitely elements here from the early 90's that, since not overdone, are pretty endearing (especially if you grew up with soul asylum, ron sexsmith, etc...) Bottom line is that the entire album is filled with such solid songwriting and such wonderful vocals, that any hint of sounding derivative is forgiven. At $5, the album is definitely worth the purchase.”

“Quirky, dark, melodic, Beatles-esque tune that would be a hit if the radio played good music these days.... I like. A lot. ”

“Sobriety Kills is a great album opener reminding me of Jeff Tweedy, Ron Sexsmith and bit of Jesse Malin. ”

“I have to agree that this is definitely a very "beatlesque" track, however to leave it at that would be to short change a new artist who, while firmly rooted in the beatles pop tradition, is also original and interesting in his own right. While this track is in particular quite catchy, all his songs seem to have such great melodies and all contain smart and in some ways very sad, yet hopeful lyrics. I like it. A lot.”

“This should be on the radio.... so pop, so beatles, so great.... I've been listening to it over and over again.... Love the guitar work too. So, I went and investigated and it is the guitarist for the Counting Crows.... Kind of cool. Btw, owners of AmieStreet, thanks for bringing artists like Jason Karaban to light.”
