“After loving 'James William Roy's "Paper Valentines" so much, and really enjoying the rest of his work here, I was excited to hear something new. I am generally more of a lyric-lover, but the musical half needs to be there, too, and again, this delivers on both, though surprisingly, given my usual preference, the musical lines really shone for me here. In the last third of the song, where the lyrics and the music rose with each other, I was thrilled at the way they so successfully melded, enhancing both and detracting from neither. I think I'll be humming 'Shiny Dark Bar' the rest of the day, maybe the week...and you know what? I'm okay with that! :) Definitely another success from JWR!”
