J-Henry grew up in a working class family of 5 boys in Central New Jersey, listening to Springsteen, Mellencamp, and Bob Seger, while fine-tuning his own version of heartland rock.

While playing as an acoustic artist in the New Jersey club scene, Henry was spotted by Anthony Krizan from the Spin Doctors, who immediately connected with his simple, heartfelt lyrics and melodies. Together they set out to produce a cd and form a band that would compliment his sound.

Two years later, J-Henry's cd "The Billy Sessions" is a consistent seller on CDBaby.com and he boasts an outstanding live show ~ an 8-piece classic rock band of seasoned players whose members have toured with the likes of Meatloaf, Mellencamp, and the Stones. Touring the New Jersey and New York scene, the group has received rave reviews and developed a cult following. "One of the things I'm proudest of is that everyone tells us that when we perform live, it sounds like the record," says Henry.

J-Henry has been chosen as the only Americana artist to be featured in Target stores nationwide as part of their "America's Best Independent Artists" campaign. "The Billy Sessions" will be available at listening kiosks and for purchase at all Target locations.
