“a song that might sound strange at first but will definitely grow on you. ghostface murders this on his album, "Fishscale." "Take me across her lap, she used to whip me with a strap, when I was baaaad." ”

“Steady bouncing electronic funkiness with some mysterious sounding vocals on the hook. You'd have a be really bad mc not to turn this into a great song.”

“DOOM (MF Doom) and J Dilla collaboration. Sure to leap off the turntable.”

“Slick and a touch creepy, with slow-mo electro beats and synth arpeggios. Reminiscent of stuff like 'Lightworks' off Donuts and his crazy remix of Daft Punk. It's natural to suspect post-humous compilations as just being filler (filla?) but this is... good.”
illcuzz Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2009:

“Part 1 is a soulful but spare instrumental beat. On part 2 Dilla drops some underwater funk. MC Diz, sounding a bit like a younger brother (or maybe: son?) of Lord Finesse, delivers clever, confident and sharp rhymes over this understated beat, again with some really cool female vocals on the hook.. (J'Davey??). Oh and part 3 is the one and only DJ PRemier talking about Dilla, stating the dictionary needs new words to come clsoe to describe the man's music, like "astronomicalnomicanomical"!!! Nod and smile.”

“Slowmid rumbling track, really lofi sounding with some percussive key stabs and a vocal snippet every now and then. Could've fitted well on Ruff Draft.”

“Yeah. Some dark spacey synth and samples hybrid the way J could pull of so well. Thick and with his characteristic extremely lazily timed drum shuffle. Would love to hear Rakim on this..”
