“Wow, this song is extremely unique and listenable. The trumpet is great - and no guitar? hard to put this in a genre. Very good!”

“Great drum intro - catchy melody - slight ragtime feel to a nifty indie rock song”

“Thought-provoking ballad - worth the download just to listen to the story”

“This song really demonstrates the strengths of Ivory Drive in its instrumentals - great mix of guitar, piano and sax. The vocals are really almost superfluous except to bracket the music; instrumentation sounds very comfortable with each other.”

“Opens with almost cliche Latin American catchy riff, and then falls into a confident, quick pace. Symphonic big-band styling with great sax solos and time changes that demonstrate the band's confidence with improv and their distinctive sound.”

“Strong brass band and nicely harmonized vocals over a smooth piano riff. Indie rock, jazz style.”

“Ragtime stylings really come out on this one, but still slightly indie rock. Great if you're looking for something slightly different.”
quickcrimson Rec'd this on Aug 9, 2009:

“Solid piece for the penultimate song of the album. Interestingly having solely the piano accompaniment brings out the strength and uniqueness of the lead's voice; this seems to have been overwhelmed by the instrumentation in all the other songs. So this is a great download if you're a completist and if you want to appreciate some talented piano and focus on the lead vocalist's voice.”
quickcrimson Rec'd this on Aug 9, 2009:

“Acoustically dramatic, with solid layering of piano, strings and brass with a plaintive overlay of vocals, eventually layered with a marching-band beat. After the first three big-band songs on this album it can be easy to typecast this band; this song caught my attention as my favourite because it demonstrates their versatility. Would make great soundtrack material.”

“A great slice of piano driven indie pop. fun and bouncy.”
