About Silent Treatment

Continuing their journey from misery to redemption that started with misery filled I can't believe it's not happiness, Hraun explore hope, faith, forgiveness and self affirming rage paving the way to the final album in the Trilogy, where joy and eudamonia will be felt.

Silent Treatment is all about the pursuit of happiness after a long period of depression and life lessons.

From the smooth shores of hope of Dansa to the Anger-filled and treacherous mountains of So let us drink, Hraun continue their upward spiral and it will be joyful.

“A true troubadour song with a very nice melody and a story. Nothing mind boggling, just a great voice and the guitar.”

“This could be a "Bugsy Malone" party gone wild. Very theatrical and visual. Very good instrumentation with a touch of Bobby McFerrin vocal style. Listen to every second, a great finale to the show! ”

“Somebody found the volume button!! A touch of Deep & Zeppelin, even Jethro Tull(all early stuff). This is not conventional Hraun song but show how versatile they are. Still you always connect with their music and style of play. Very energetic stuff.”

“I´m in awe! The melodies seem to come so easy and flowing to these people. This song is very melancholy, heartfelt and honest, there is no way, not to get caught in the melody.”

“It starts with this kindergarten style La-lala simple sweet melody that gets stuck in your head (I know)"Komdu" means come(with me)and who could resist! A great performance with a touch of Bobby McFerrin vocal style. ”

“Intimate and personal song with elegant vocals and original instruments, great build up with a storytelling feel to it. Reminds me of a poor folk tale, tough the song is very rich in every way.”

“Very lively, almost a hippie song, powerful folk-rock at it´s best. Shows how the original sounds of real instruments will always come again and again. ”

“There is more edge and volume to this one then previous songs. Still the same or even more joy and feel in the performance. I really like the rocking side of Hraun. ”

“Fantastic song! You get all tingly and start moving whatever your position, the power/speed-shifting is awesome, you get it all in 3:58 sec. You should try to have sex to the rhythm of this song! repeatedly! My favorite song on this album.”

“Erm, I should listen to the whole album before rec'ing. The vocals on this album switch to English after the first song, so I could have just rec'd a song I could actually comment about sensibly, oh well :) This track is the place where stadium rock meets folk - big amped guitar solos but also an acoustic guitar in there somewhere and vocals that go from introspective to almost-bluesy shouting. The singer's voice is faintly Nick Cave-ish, the sound is almost early Led Zep. (and I'll add a big 'sort of' to both of those, in case the bad don't like the comparisons). And yep, I think he is singing 'happy happy joy joy' :)”
