About My Old Friend

Think folk music could use more edge? Think country music could use less electric guitars and more banjos? Think a solid breakfast is an important start to your day?

So does Headwater.

Headwater came together in the fall of 2005, hoping to become the subject of a reality TV show. The show fell through, though, and the band has had to resort to playing shows, selling records and t-shirts and all that.

There's been no looking back.

Headwater has not opened for the Who. Headwater has not been on tour with Annie Lennox. None of their songs have been covered by Alice Cooper.

Headwater has rocked the socks off of every venue they've played with their high energy live antics.

Here's where we post what some press types had to say to convince you that we're important and cool, enjoy:

"The title (My Old Friend) is appropriate, as you're immediately comfortable in this album's company...bucolic and sophisticated."

- Tom Harrison, The Province

“Headwater not only has the sound down but the musical talent as well...the sound is timeless and would appeal to all. It’s youthful like Blue Rodeo but mature like Neil Young.”

- Kristen Cudmore, Lefthip Magazine
