Our take

"This is not just southern rock, for every rowdy jam (of which there are plenty) there are psychedelic and blues songs that showcase the trio's depth and skill. "

“Warren Haynes missed his musical generation by a few years; his influence definitely lies in the era from 1967-1973 or so. "Railroad Boy" conjures up the ghosts of the South and the folktales of love, madness and death that will always be a large part of our American history. ”

“"Inside Outside Woman Blues #3" finds Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Edgar Winter meeting up in a roadhouse, with the pop hooks of Jimi's "Axis: Bold as Love" lyrics and the organ of Procul Harum thrown in for extra oomph. Caution: preview before playing in a moving vehicle, as the song will cause a lead foot.”

“A nice start to the new work...I dig the addition of Jorgen on bass!”

“HOLY COW. Billy Gibbons has not sounded this good and genuine since 1973. Inspired choice by Warren Haynes and the Mule to bring him into the mix for this one.”

“"Forevermore" will make the hair on your scalp stand up everytime. It is yet another of the anthemic, spiritually uplifting songs that Warren & The Mule write so well. Starts in a dark place and by the end manages to find some light.”
