“If you own one track from Replicas, make it this one. An amazingly solid example of early Gary Numan genius, harsh and synthy in all it's glory.”

“"Are 'Friends' Electric?" is the definitive Gary Numan song: funky beat, ice-cold synths, distanced and almost inhuman sci-fi lyrics, and Numan's characteristic vocal delivery. This song epitomizes everything that music critics consider "New Wave."”

“"Replicas" is one of the coldest, most alienating songs I have ever heard. The synths fall upon your ears like showers of freon, the beat pounds like a machine's heartbeat, and Numan's voice floats through it all with such an alienated, detached despair that it sounds like he is literally singing an anthem for an apocalypse that happened when no one was even looking.”

“A classic Gary Numan song I have loved for 25+ years. It sounds better than ever in this remastering...clean and clear. Go for it!”
