FLAWLESS

There is a well known phrase: "Some people are born to greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them." Like so many that came before him, Flawless is about to make history by having his name added to the list of the most talented artists ever, past and present.

Looking into the life of Flawless, one would be surprised at the level of professionalism this rapper has. Born and raised in Jamaica Queens, Flawless was influenced by the many talented artists, such as Jay-Z, Ludacris, and Kanye West, all whom have changed the face of the rap game. Flawless knew that he wanted to make a better life for his single mother who raised both him and his older sister. During his sophomore year in High School, he was amazed by the lyrics a classmate would spit during battles at lunchtime. It was then that he realized he wanted to start rhyming and become better than the classmate he admired. When people would hear him rap or witness his writing process, they would tell him that he always wanted to make his rhymes sound Flawless. From then it was the name he ran with straight to the top.

In 2003, Flawless auditioned for MTV’s Making the Band and received moderate success, placing in the Top 25 among 4000. Of the 25 who made the cut, only 10 were MC’s. Although Flawless didn’t make the band, he walked away from the experience determined to push forward towards the road to success. In 2006, he auditioned for Micheck Entertainment’s MTV sponsored show called the Red Carpet Tour. The participants of the show consisted of the best artists auditioned in 12 major cities. With his dynamic and attention grabbing stage performances, Flawless was among the final selection made for the show. However, the show never reached TV. Despite another setback Flawless turned his attention to recording, performing, and starting his new Record label entitled “IMPRESSIVE MUSIC”. Flawless has performed at and won many showcases across NY, and is also on many DVD’s including “What’s Really Hood Vol. 8,” “Hip Hop Uncensored Vol. 7,” “The Heat DVD,” and many more. He has also been featured on various mix tapes alongside notable artists such as Ludacris, G-Unit, Jadakiss, Jay-Z, Nas, Diddy, Dipset, Young Jeezy and others. With all the hard work, his talents are being recognized by major artists such as MIMS and The Nappy Roots who have recently asked him to open up for them in 2008 with the success of their breakout Single “Good Day.”

The Q-Borough is no stranger to harboring many top-notch MC’s and judging by the slick, creative rhymes that FLAWLESS brings to the table, there is no doubt that his name will be added to the borough’s list of great lyricists. His goal is to mesh whatever music is popular today such as Pop, techno, house, and R&B with Hip Hop without compromising quality and creativity, thus creating a new genre he coins “HIP-POP.”

From his pretty boy swagger to his slick flow, Flawless displays all-around talent and marketability that will ensure longevity in the music industry. Making hits definitely comes easy when you have the type of focus that this Queens native has. As he continues to grow and master his craft, Flawless will undoubtedly transform his dreams into reality.
