“Having heard "Doomsday" 3 times live before I was more than excited to see it included on the new album. The recorded version is fantastic as it manages to capture the frantic excitement of the song's dramatic arc and thumping marching band drum. A beautiful song by a super-talented group of people.”

“This is exactly the type of song i knew he'd be capable of. This sound was hinted at on ash wednesday but he has nailed it with the help of his friends and a little bit of that magic we like to call love. the love of his friends and of the universe. and of baby polar bears. this song would make baby polar bears cry. and their tears would freeze on the way to the cold arctic ground, zooming into them showing that they are in fact heart shaped.”

“Here's a fun romp in the spirit of the month (since it is May right now after all). The backup band (Dearland) is terrific... various songs on the album include acoustic upright bass, harmonium, trumpet, drums, fiddle, harmonica, drums and more. ”

“I'm not sure why I haven't heard of Elvis Perkins before. His music is amazing. Check out his debut on David Letterman (YouTube). ”
