“Denise Dill's one of those artists that build a song, set it down it's track and build on and keep building the textures within. I find myself hearing the pauses and gaps in this song and I realize some of them were meant to be there. She captures some of the tornadoes I've seen in my life in this music. At first play, this song sounds like a disaster (and I don't mean that to be a pun, but you get what you pay for ;D). At another level if you listen closely -- this song is pretty damn good. Well worth more listening to. Layers on layers. Good job Denise.”

“I was kind of expecting a commentary on the original "duck and cover" from the cold war era, but this is a likeable gentle song, about two removes from that, and very personal. An "I" song and not really political.”

“background clips of terrifying news stories. Chimes and words that are obliquely related to the stories, talking about our seemingly inextricable relationship to technology that's killing us.”

“The lyrics bring in language and indigenous images and move to personal, very tactile images. The guitar rhythm and repetitions carry the song very well through the changes. This time her voice reminds me of Anais Mitchell.”

“rapidfire piano and drum-track behind self-harmonies and changing rhythms. Very inventive and quite satisfying.”
