Our take

"Tropical shoegaze, sludgy drug-pop, and lo-fi psychedelia like only Bradford Cox and Deerhunter can."

“Great closing song. Solid repetitive beat and bassline with a simple two part guitar riff. This is a great album to listen to if you want to like Deerhunter but have found past albums inaccessible... Enjoy.”
Diminuendo Rec'd this on May 18, 2009:
Street Cred: 1461 Rec's: 102
“This one has a pretty light-hearted mood to it compared to a lot of Deerhunter's other stuff. The vocals are higher in the mix with the instruments still retaining that shoegaze-y feel, works really well.”
bigdibs Rec'd this on Jun 17, 2009:
Street Cred: 54 Rec's: 27
“A bit marchy with Radiohead-esque noise and an epic grunge rock style chorus...”
bigdibs Rec'd this on Jun 17, 2009:
Street Cred: 54 Rec's: 27
“Another excellent Deerhunter record. This one is a little more accessible than most but still remains a masterpiece of 50's style rock with layers of crafted ambience...”
Diminuendo Rec'd this on May 18, 2009:
Street Cred: 1461 Rec's: 102
“Probably their most straightforward or 'normal' song, they do it pretty well, too.”
bigdibs Rec'd this on Jun 17, 2009:
Street Cred: 54 Rec's: 27
“A very typical indie-rock style song which is very atypical of Deerhunter. Still a fantastic track though.”
bigdibs Rec'd this on Jun 17, 2009:
Street Cred: 54 Rec's: 27
“A standard slow 50's song riff tossed with a slow jungle-y beat and layers of dreamy vocals make for a sleepy but very enjoyable track.”
Diminuendo Rec'd this on May 18, 2009:
Street Cred: 1461 Rec's: 102
“This the traditional Deerhunter song of the album. If you liked the more hazy songs of their last two albums this is the song you will feel most comfortable with.”
Diminuendo Rec'd this on May 18, 2009:
Street Cred: 1461 Rec's: 102
“Wonderfully, weirdly poppy. This is pretty different from Deerhunter's last album, but man does it sound amazing. ”
