Curt Brady

Curt is originally from Long Island, New York. He has been playing guitar and writing songs since age 10, working as a professional musician for over 25 years.

Inspired to learn guitar after discovering The Beatles, Curt started playing and writing songs not long after. Today his music is influenced by Dave Matthews, Lyle Lovett and Harry Chapin, among others. In fact, it was a solo concert by Chapin that Curt attended while in high school that inspired the simple guitar-and-vocal approach to Curt's first CD, "Some Kind of Bright Side".

Curt's songs reflect the versatility and technical skill necessary for a successful career as a professional musician. His songs feature interesting and often complex guitar parts which include finger-picking, chord soloing and stylistic elements from blues, jazz and country. When paired with strong lyrics that don't cover the same ground that has been traveled so many times already, the result is interesting and unique songs that will appeal to those who appreciate something that's a little different from the norm.

Curt currently works as a freelance musician, songwriter and guitar teacher. He shares a small beach cottage in Hampton, Virginia, with his wife Nanette, son Matthew, three cats and (at last count) 19 guitars.
