“"Honey, I got rhythms... I-haven't-used-yet." The mighty mighty Ninja Tune duo Coldcut rip it up (like it says right there in the song name, junior), shredding vinyl and hopping through sample after sample. You know they helped popularize the whole sampling thing back in the day by remixing Eric B. & Rakim, right? This track is the musical equivalent of channel surfing. So many choices!”

“A wondrous electronic journey through sound.”

“Take another trip through a kaleidescope of sounds.”

“"Rubaiyat" was always a favorite of mine off the Let Us Play album, opening with a sample of Beat author William S. Burroughs and continuing into some laid back drum-and-bass grooves. A nice chill track from Coldcut, two of the founding fathers of sample-heavy electronica.”

“With "Timber," the two members of Coldcut gather sounds associated with the cutting down of trees and make joyous music out of destruction. The chainsaw rhythm is a must-hear element and when vocals come in from a female vocalist, cut-up and made haunting, it's like a mourning song for lost rain forests. But, you know, a mourning song you can dance to. Grab this song and be SURE to check out the music video by Hexstatic online somewhere to see video that matches and illuminates all the samples.”

“WHAAAAAT!!!! such a dope version of Atomic Moog REC"D!!! ”

“Coldcut, the seminal cut-up artists who started the Ninja Tune label, cut together sex education tapes with assorted moans, throw in some spoken word from Maggie Estep ("Big girls, ooh! Bad girls, ooh!"), and the end result: a slinky, fun track that you'll want to hear with your headphones on.”
