“It isn't easy to do a good cover of Johnny Cash song, but... well, listen to beginning for yourself (and then buy the whole song)”

“Another cover I haven't come across the the orignal of, but really like this rendition. Acoustic lo-fi.”

“I like the unevenness of his voice. Of course I also that you go right to the source and listen torany Roky Erickson songs or 13th floor Elevators. ”

“If Jesus were a cowboy.... Christophe sings this like the last prayer of a lost soul. It's really a beautiful thing.”

“I'm about to commit an outrageous blasphemy and say I think Johnny Cash is a great songwriter but the boom-chick-a-boom thing gets a bit tired after a while. I haven't heard the original, can't make comparisons to that, but I really like the cover, this track's slow and thoughtful and acoustic, very much the bleak and introspective blues/folk Cash, not the yeehaw country one. And best of all not a boom-chick-a-boom in sight :)”
