“This is pure jazz. Amazing vocals and clear trumpet lines with a lovely distinctive tone. You can't go wrong with some Chet in your iPod, seriously.”

“Open a bottle of chilled wine and click play. Cool, intimate, accessible "west coast" jazz with vocals. Getz has a sultry, kind of androgynous voice---imagine David Sedaris singing torch songs. The title track is the place to start. (If you've seen The Talented Mr. Ripley, it may sound familiar---Matt Damon does an homage to this performance.)”

“One of my favorite sounds in jazz is the trumpet, and this song, among many others encompasses what I love about the trumpet, smooth, passionate, filling your body with the emotion, in this case a bit of sorrow/longing. ”
