Our take

"Grand, joyous, heartbreaking music from this Edinburgh band, with orchestral swells and military drums propping up Jamie Sutherland's strained Scottish voice."

“This is a fine song, and the preview clip which is limited to the piano/keyboard intro really doesn't do it justice.”

“Great song musically, lyrically and a strong emotive voice. This band is really interesting.”

“This is a tremendous song. The whole album is outstanding, especially if you like your rock to be accompanied by strings the way I do. There's a great appeal to the combination of accordion, strings, and well-played guitar these guys exhibit.”

“I so wish I had found this band earlier. I host an indie rock radio show on WRLR 98.3 in Round Lake, IL (subterraneanradio.podbean.com) and I am definitely giving these guys a spin on my show tomorrow night!”

“Anthemic indeed. Nicely melodic too. And I don't know if it's a mandolin or some other non-guitar instrument but it works really well here.”

“like a moment of sunday-go-to-meeting...a swelling that is gorgeous”
