About Miracle

This compilation took 10 years to assemble. The songs were written in backyards, sang into answering machines, in rehearsal rooms and in my head on airplanes. They are the footprints of the last decade of my life.

Several of these recordings on the front end of the disc were performed and co-produced with guitarist Frank Kraus(guitar), Steve Kraus (bass) and Dave Becker (drums) from 2004-2006. These guys are master musicians and really made this segment of the disc come alive. Frank did the engineering work and production as well. Crazy talented.

Chris Gibbs from our Peach Fish cover band is on drums for It Will Follow.

Middle of Me and Eight Forty Eight were recorded with Wayne Becker @ Westwire Studio in Allentown, PA before I moved to Florida. Dave Becker is on drums for all of these tracks too.

John Zuluaga (bass) and Dan Tracewski (drums)are playing on I'll Wait & Level. You'll know John's bass work when you hear it.

Pig, The Coyote Song & Back to the Core were recorded with my old Swim soul mate Bo Shupin on guitar and Lou Bomentre on drums.

The Crazy was co-written with Tony Scardasi and is the only thing we got to record together. He was the launch of this project over 10 years ago with that song blasted out in a smokey basement jam and then turned into a finished song that is probably my favorite on this album.

You'll notice I keep pushing the Buddhist theme in my artwork, literature and lyrics. I got hooked on the imagery when I started reading Jack Kerouac early in my "awakening." But then again Jack died a miserable drunk so I hope to have taken his passion in a different direction. But he lived his life "in the moment" which made him living art. We should all live our lives like we're creating a piece of art.

As I look back, we've all (these musicians that supported me) kind of carried the torch through the new millennium of ROCK just by making music together and playing out and causing all sorts of trouble. I am proud to be an unknown soldier out here writing poems and being a backyard prophet pontificator. I like it better that way now... Someday after we're all gone some kid will find his dead relative's iPod and he/she might hear these songs and then I will live again. And if he/she likes it and shares it, I will multiply...

Sometimes I look back at all these lyrics and I totally get it that I got it but then again I some days laugh at myself and the foolish errand it was to try and be a rock star icon ego that saves the world and gets all the girls while doing it. (Bono - how did you pull it off?!)

Thanks for listening. If you like it, pass it on. Like a torch...
