About Nothing Was Proven, Nobody Cared

Before developing some mental stability and joining up with the more talented likes of Paula Kelley and Matt Nathanson, guitarist/vocalist Aaron Tap fronted his own schizophrenic band, Betty Goo. Their third and final album, appropriately titled 'gooicide,' was an appropriate swan song, many of its tunes chronicling and/or lamenting a serious disillusionment with the idea of being a struggling rock band. But it's not all whining; you get the Frenglish ramblings of "LeMonde," and who could forget the touching recounting of the imaginary love affair between Eric Clapton and Sheryl Crow, the epic "Horseface?" Now, for no betty goo reason, a Best Of of sorts is being released; partly as a way to get more tracks from before and after gooicide out into the world, and partly to make a buck. Oh, I forgot, songs start free here. So, it's pretty much just nostalgia. Dig in!

Note: The album title is lifted from the brilliant comic strip Steven, by Doug Allen.

“A must-have for all the Morrissey fans out there. This catchy, jaunty dose of power-pop has cheeky references and winks galore -- have fun!”
