Beatmakin Troopa

Since his early years Beatmakin Troopa has always been surrounded by music and different visuals. His father was one of the co founders of the electronic group Inferno 5. In 1998 Troopa bought his first turntable and was one of the trailblazers on the mixtape scene in Iceland. Not long after that he began producing beats on his mpc 2000. A proud member of the Twisted Minds Crew he started to lay down beats for talented rappers like Rain and Mystic. He immediately got peoples attention for crazy drum patterns and novel sounds. Though only 25 years old he has already been part of numerous projects. He produced two lp cassettes for Twisted Minds and made a really weird record with one of the most famous graff writers in Iceland, King Nores, an ep called Alpha Species. He has also been involved in solo projects with Rain and Mystic. Beatmakin Troopa was a skater back in the day and he paid homage to the sport with beats for skate videos. He has also dropped two solo records. First but not least an lp called Peaceful Thinkin, the most popular instumental record ever made in the Icelandic hip hop scene, followed by a dark electro acid ep surprise Visit.
