Beast From Sea

The beast will come up from sea, amidst the depths of slumber. It lets out a sound from the bottom of its being that surpases all time and territories. The purity and power of its cry will shake children in their beds and rip them from the dream of predictability. Once morning light illuminates the wake of the beast,
Those left behind will ask how and why it all happened when all that matters is that it came
And all that remains is the song that it sang.




Since it's creation, Beast From Sea has been dedicated to taking rock music into an entirely new, artistic, and explosive platform. Fueled by the human interaction and connection of live performances, this band has been aggressively playing shows in venues throughout Illinois for over the past two years. In November of 2007, Beast From Sea signed with Chicago label, British Records. After graciously gaining a modest fan base, Beast From Sea took time from performing and put it into creating a repitoire that they believed would truly be worth listening to.

In March of 2008, Beast From Sea went in to Chicago Recording Company and recorded six songs in six days with Dave Riley (Billy Corgan, The Decemberists, Thirty Seconds To Mars). These songs made up the band's first EP, "What Your Children Dream Of". Crafted from expressive thought and inspiring soundscapes, What Your Children Dream Of embodies the band's idea of true musical progression. In support of the band's debut, the men of Beast From Sea will be touring throughout the midwest this summer.

The rest of Beast's story remains unfinished, but what can be said is that the ideals of honesty, power, and progression will continue to consume the core and steer the course of this band throughout its existence. From the peak of your speakers to the height of your stages, Beast From Sea is coming.
