About The Sins of the Past

The Sins of the Past was the first item of discography ever put out by Barter In Blood. Just under 50 copies were made, around 5 of which were considered an "extended edition," containing an alternate cd label design and an unreleased bonus track.
The release's classification is debateable: Officially, it is a Mini-Album, but is also considered an EP or simply a demo. The Sins of the Past is burned onto Color LightScribe CDR discs, varying in color from green, blue, red, orange, and yellow.

The Sins of the Past:
1. Deadfall
2. Decree of Annihilation
3. No Rest For The Wicked
4. Wake of Vultures
5. Death or Glory

The Sins of the Past [Extended Edition]
1. Deadfall
2. Decree of Annihilation
3. No Rest For The Wicked
4. Wake of Vultures
5. Death or Glory
6. Setting Fire to Faith

Both editions are sold out, but a future re-printing is a possibility.

“The begging of this song is cool because it sounds like the music from the game doom.”

“The shortest song are usually the best. There's good interplay (for lack of a better word) between the high "raaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and the low "uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh" vocals here, and a rather well-executed breakdown about 30 seconds in. Barter in Blood aren't reinventing the wheel here, but quite a bit to like.”
