BAM

You’ve reached BAM, from Beat Boys,I remember when I first started doing music. I've always had a passion for it. Being raised in North Oakland was tough for a youngsta, you know? But you would always have your niggas and music. BAM says there’s a street life and there’s rules you’ve got to follow. I still remember the first rap I ever wrote. It was called “I Needa Bugga Man,” after I wrote that I knew music was in me. Soon music became a everyday thing for me. Non-stop, downloading beats, writing my rhymes and getting lose. All my work was done on a nine dolloar microphone from Wal-Mart.
In 2005, BAM and his family moved from North Oakland to Antioch. He had no idea where he was, but after a month of being in Antioch he started to look at his music differently. BAM started taking notes from several rappers, (as listed in his influences) and he began to make some real music. He started looking at the world and really writing about his life and situations he knows other could relate to.
BAM also had a second love, which was playing basketball. He found it hard to juggle both music and basketball at the same time. Eventually he picked the one that his heart was truly in, which was music.
During Freshman year, in high school, BAM met Josh, otherwise, know as VICE CITY. BAM soon realized the VICE CITY lived across the street from him., He remembers asking VICE CITY if he does music. Rather then telling him yes, VICE CITY decided to show him. BAM was shocked by his talent. Right away the recorded twenty-three mixtape tracks, all freestyle, no pen, no paper. They burned them to cd’s and began flooding the school with them. BAM was trying to get his name out there and wanted everyone to hear his music.
BAM and VICE CITY have been running the music ever since then. No one was doing music in Antioch, at that time, so they had it on lock. They began setting their own trends and people started to recognize their influence. Others tried to get down with the movement. BAM and VICE CITY wanted to share their talent and let anyone shine who was trying to get down. Yet it seems niggas don’t want to thank you when your responsible for they careers. BAM and VICE been threw it all, it was times when niggas was making deals with major labels, but niggas wasn’t as serious like they were, so they split.
BAM mom was always supportive in whatever he did. His mom is his hero. She has always been there for him. She raised BAM by herself and three other kids. Her support go so far that she has even had BAM’s name copyrighted. Shouts out to BAM’s mother, he loves you. His mother has always taight him to stand up for himself, but try to do things the right way. Although, sometimes you can’t always do the right thing and that when his bad instincts kicked in.
Years passed on, BAM and VICE CITY were still in the studio making hits. They were also shopping around, looking for a deal. Then they found another artist, by the name of SIX STAR. BAM says he’s never knew SIX STAR was a rapper, he just remembers SIX STAR telling him at school, man BAM what’s good with BBE? BAM said “man everyone out her is bullshittin.,“ but BAM gave SIX STAR a chance. Sure enough, he was impressed with SIX STAR’s talent and told VICE CITY as soon as possible. SIX STAR was on the team, hand down.
They quickly began making a demo and are now shopping around for a record deal. Look out for Beat Boys Entertainment.
