Country Standard Time Magazine has described their sound as "If Neil Young mated with The Indigo Girls". Angel Paint's signature sound comes from the heart and soul of singer/songwriter Jeanne Bonansinga. A performer since age 13, Jeanne fell in love with the acoustic guitar and the styles of artists like Neil Young, Lucinda Williams and Emmy Lou Harris. Their folk-rock-Americana sound features searing harmonica support by Jeanne's husband Jay Bonansinga and layers of harmony vocals by singer supreme Caroline Milligan as well as Jay Bonansinga. This acoustic trio has been attracting fans since 1996 in clubs and festivals as well as more intimate surroundings. With the debut of their CD "In the World", Angel Paint has plugged in and added a full band. With the amazing talents of producer Andon T. Davis, this CD rocks while always honoring the acoustic roots that drive their sound. Bonansinga's songs take on a diverse register of topics from abused women and Catholic priests, to songs of love and loss. The power-pop cut "The Gardener" and the heartwarming ballad "The Lucky One" display the full range of goodies to uncover in this debut CD.
