22-Pistepirkko consists of brothers Asko and PK Keränen and childhood friend Espe Haverinen. The band has been around for almost 25 years In 2005 they have released their 10th album “Drops & Kicks”, followed by the release of a documentary DVD “Sleep Good Rock Well” and an album of their side project The Others aka 22pp, entitled “Monochromeset” (all on their own label Bone Voyage).
22-Pistepirkko’s music is wild, touching, catchy and usually experimental drawing from a lot of very different genres. Blues, punk, rock, electro, country and pure pop all come together in the musical world of 22-Pistepirkko. This mix has earned them a dedicated fan base across Northern Europe.

For an upcoming release early 2008 and probably their first in North America the band is going to work with American producer KRAMER (Shimmydisc, Bongwater, Ween, Urge Overkill, Galaxie 500, Daniel Johnston, a.m.o.) Recently they came also to the attention of a younger US audience, they haven’t thought of before: Snowboarding College Kids. They started digging their song "(Just a) Little Bit More" (from Rumble City Lala Land), which is the starting song in a snow board DVD, entitled: Follow Me Around (via Mack Dawg).
