Help: How are albums priced?

Most albums on Amie Street have an album price equal to the total price of all the songs on the album. However, if the total price of all the songs on an album is greater than $8.98 than an Album Price Cap of $8.98 is instituted. Why $8.98? We feel that this price point will give customers incentive to buy full albums (rather than just a few individual songs) and will help Artists to maximize revenue from their music. With certain content providers albums will be more expensive, however, we try our best to keep albums priced at $8.98.
