“While all five tracks are great, I was particularly entranced by "Kensington Avenue" which with it's psychadelic overtones sets it a bit apart from the pop sixties feel of the rest of the EP. Overall it's a tightly produced release with nice, tight musicianship. The Parties are on their way up. ”

“A beautiful haunting voice that will keep you listening to the entire album. It's a great song to listen to in a comfortable environment while reflecting on your life.”

“An incisive exploration of the commercialization of Christmas in a time of economic hardship. Snoop D-O-Double-G and Jake the Flake bring some uncomfortable truths about post-TARP Americans to the surface.”

“Bright pop with gorgeous vocals. Easy to listen to over and over. Used it on my radio show last weeks and had two calls asking about the band and song.”

“Love the movie, and love the new version of this song and all the others on the new album "Back from the Dead"”

“Great bluesy / folk sound. Reminiscent of the haunting voice of the Cowboy Junkies and Norah Jones.”

“A perfect opening track, it starts with a slow-burn and picks up steam gradually. It made me want to buy the whole album, which is what I think any good opener does.”

“Solid Gold is a fantastic band from Minneapolis, and this song follows well in the footsteps of their first album "Bodies of Water". If you haven't heard that album, you must check it out.”

“This is one of my favorite songs on this album.... it's a slower song, but is filled with so much emotion. Bluebird will remind you of those people who have touched your life in a way that cannot ever be forgotten... whether it was a just a great friend or a lover that was there to teach you something you never knew about yourself. It is a song that everyone can benefit from hearing.”

“I love this song!!! Its such a great reminder that God is coming back soon!!! and we need to be ready and tell others to be ready as well. I like the piano playing and the vocals are great too!!”

“A.A. Bondy defines what patriotism means to him and makes a great song doing it”

“A perfect example of Amber Rubarth's lyrical brilliance, Washing Day is a poetic nod to letting go of an old lover. Beautifully performed and recorded. Haunting vocal, guitar, and cello.”

“Yay! More from my favorite vikings. They tear mercilessly into your ears, and leave behind a surprisingly melodic hook for you to remember as the dust settles. "Rewards Repeated Listens," which is okay because you can listen to this song three times in the time it would take to listen to some other more boring song.”

“Certainly not a stand out and nothing groundbreaking, but very easy to listen to without requiring any effort, a change from all the electro and progressive stuff.”

“I bought this on a lark, and I love it. Amelia's voice will hang with you no matter how far you are from an iPod. Her melodies come from the foundation of Americana, and her lyrics describe the place within you where yearning and bitterness chase after joy. This album is perfect for a cold november night.”
