White Hot Knife: Chicago dance-rock.
It's a story you've heard before: exiles from local punk or hardcore scene embark on writing some pop tunes, realize they're damn good at it, and put out a dance-rock record. Hailing from Chicago (the hardcore scene that's produced its fair share of pop-punk superstars...Fall Out Boy anyone?), White Hot Knife have been conquering the airwaves in their hometown: the big commercial stations Q101 and WXRT are playing them, as are WLUW and WNUR (Loyola's and Northwestern's college stations, respectively).
Dark but danceable, White Hot Knife is a pretty safe bet for fans of Head Automatica, Panic! at the Disco, Cobra Starship, and The Bravery.
