We Don’t Need No Edukation

October 23rd, 2007
Ultra Sonic Edukators

Recalling classic British psych-rock with modern pop production, the Ultra Sonic Edukators just destroy on their latest release:

. It's thrilling to hear something like Play Button Atomic Bombit come out in 2007 -- eight minutes long, and that guitar solo! And when you thought it couldn't get any better, enter saxophone.

Last year they supported the Flaming Lips and Kings of Leon in Wisconsin; I'd love to see them on a bill with the Dandy Warhols. This is honest, talented, and radio-friendly rock -- and to top it all off, Bad Blood was produced in part by John McEntire (responsible for our recently-blogged, Bumps).

Rolling Stone just named them one of the top 25 bands on MySpace, which was of course a huge pool to choose from and a great honor to the band. Tomorrow they could be on the cover! Don't miss this EP.
