The #1 DJ in the World

No exaggeration: Tiesto currently holds this honor as voted by The DJ List. In 2003, he changed the image of electronic music forever as the first DJ to perform solo in a stadium (to a crowd of 25,000). Today, millions of people view the top DJs as demigods and approach dance music with furiously ecstatic devotion -- a global phenomenon for which this man is largely responsible.
,
Tiesto's latest release, is no exception to his massive and
stunningly consistent catalogue. Inspired by an island known
worldwide for its megaparties, the album is a seamless 67-minute
mix, blending extended instrumental tracks with gorgeous female
vocals. It is of course best heard in full, but for the new or
skeptical: check out
Falling
, one of my favorite
moments in the mix.
What might be most impressive is his complete refusal of computer equipment in preparing this album, working only with CD mixers: "Most of the tracks are so exclusive that, if I'd still been mixing with records, I wouldn't have been able to get most of these mixes on vinyl!"
With laptops and bedroom DJs fast becoming the new garage bands, Tiesto has yet again set himself apart from the pack.

over-hyped rubbish
music is not a competition
“his complete refusal of computer equipment in preparing this album” !!!!
but he uses cd mixers - ha ha ha ha - where you can press a button and beatmatch
people: please do not believe the hype!

Sorry to burst the bubble misha, but your comment accomplished nothing but direct peoples negative energy in your direction. Tiesto - despite your comment to the contrary - is a highly accomplished DJ with excellent composition skills. Not working with ‘computers’ means not being able to beatmatch track because you have to do it manually. Like, by skipping to the right places in the CD? Duh?! I’d sorely like to see you do anything approximating fantastic.
