Amie
Street is proud to present its fourth installment of its Showcases
series. This Friday, December 15th, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm, Amie
Street favorites Rob
Drabkin and Morgan
Rogers will play Arlene's Grocery (95 Stanton Street, NYC) .
For those unfamiliar with Rob Drabkin's music, you got to check out
Sweet Things
and
The Way You Look Tonight
- two great songs which
illustrate Rob's sick guitar skills and sultry voice. For the Dave
Matthews fans out there, be sure not to miss this. Rob is currently
on tour with Tim Reynolds.
And for fans of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and any man who can play
a harmonica, we have Morgan Rogers; a timeless Amie Street artist
who is best exemplified by his tracks
Backwards
and
Drunken Words
. Both songs exist as true throw-backs to the glory days
of acoustic rock in the 60s and 70s. The show begins at 7:00pm and
ends at 8:30pm. Despite featuring two artists, tickets are only $10
(a great deal). See you then.

This
Saturday, November 25th, Amie Street will be showcasing a great NYC
talent: The Bones
Royal at Crash Mansion (199 Bowery St.). Hailing from The East
Village, The Bones Royal embody rock n' roll in its music, its
attitude, and its dress. Drawing large local crowds on nothing more
than its live shows, The Bones Royal is situated well within the
the current NYC "up-and-comer" movement.
Crank up the headphones and check out
Marie
. You'll
want to buy it. Listen for the chorus as it shouts "Can't get her
out of my head." After hearing the track, you'll have to agree.
Crash Mansion, a NYC landmark, has played host to artists ranging
from The Spin Doctors, Usher, Wyclef Jean, The Fray, and George
Clinton. We're proud to be a part of the madness with such an
incredible band. The show is an hour long and starts at 9:00pm.
Tickets are $10 (and worth every penny). Come. Tell
friends.

"An
unbelievable night of music," said Gabe Goodwin, an Amie Street
user. "The bands were unreal. Looking forward to the next one."
All fans attending Amie Street's first showcase in New York City
this past Friday night shared these sentiments as the music flowed
from the Cutting Room stage well past 2am. Over a hundred people
listened as Andrew Fox and The
Emergency opened the show with
Love Letter to Calypso
, a beautiful
arrangement of earthly folk and playful soul.
Joe Whyte followed,
changing the musical direction more towards acoustic folk rock. The
crowd felt it, as fans sang along with Amie Street favorites such
as
Let Me Down
and
Best Of Me
.
Never the Nines closed the
showcase with forty minutes of unrelenting rock and left everyone
wanting more. NTN's set included Amie Street tracks
Liar
and
Out & Through
, as well as newer, more
groove-based songs. The Amie Street Showcase was a great success,
both in attendance and musical contributions. Thanks to everyone
involved. Stay on the block, live cuts from the showcase are coming
soon.
