RECs of the Week

RECs of the Week

(I'm new here. What is a REC?)

THE NOT JUST A CLEVER NAME REC

The album's called Lay Back and this little tune is way way laid back, with smooth breathy vocals, harmonizing strings and a clean, melodic lead guitar line. Very pleasant pop.

THE ONE-LINER REC

Holy. Shit. "I leave more footprints than dead centipedes." You should just buy it for that line. Or because it's a ridiculously awesome song. Yeah, that too.

Maxed Out Singles

THE STAYING REAL REC

although his singer/songwriter turn was quite a surprise for some people, this song remains one of the highlights from the album. it's a honest and heartfelt piece from a guy who's getting older and looking to settle down. a real song about real things - can't front on that. and damned catchy, too...

THE HIT IT DON'T QUIT IT REC

Oh this is fun! It reminds me of "The Chenile Sisters" but 'Jigzag' don't fit neatly into comparisons of other groups or artists. Hit it!

In The Middle

THE QUALITY NOT QUANTITY REC

49 seconds, yes, but this interlude track has a doper beat than most dj's and producers' best track, in my humble opinion.

Lovework

THE ITALOPHILE REC

Grande pezzo acustico. Non so chi sia questo Buldra, ma la canzone è proprio carina.

THE RE-RE-REC

I ca-ca-can't get this song, out of my head. Quirky, punky, ca-ca-catchy.
