“fantastic modern country with an old school sound. i bet they put on an awesome live show. they sound like they're having the kind of fun with their music that Willie and Waylon and them do.”

THE AHHHH REC

nex9k Rec'd this on Apr 8, 2008:
Street Cred: 76 Rec's: 4
“Sung beautifully by soprano Kathy Teal, this medieval church music composed by the German abbess Saint Hildegard is perfect for relaxation or meditation. Uplifting.”

THE SUMMER SHADE REC

jetjaguar Rec'd this on Apr 8, 2008:
Street Cred: 2786 Rec's: 88
“Don't know if summer's coming where you are, but if so jump on this. Lovely headnodding beat, smile-inducing electric piano, cool little vocal sample. Nice work from Ras G.”

THE STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED REC

MayorOfTuesday Rec'd this on Apr 11, 2008:
Street Cred: 2459 Rec's: 216
“Amazingly catchy, high energy indie rock, the kind you'd expect to hear in an iPod commercial”

THE CAN'T HAVE JUST ONE REC

padresoler Rec'd this on Apr 11, 2008:
Street Cred: 49 Rec's: 5
“This review is for the whole album. Paul Galbraith teams up with three other guitarists here (Edelton & Everton Gloeden, Tadeu do Amaral) as the Brazilian Guitar Quartet in arrangements of Bach's well-known Orchestral Suites. In general, large-scale orchestral works don't work too well when scaled down for the guitar, but these pieces come out surprisingly full of spirit. Galbraith has previously tackled transcriptions of Bach's violin sonatas and partitas with beautiful effect, and here he shows he's up to the task of taking on the whole orchestra. The quartet's overall sound is well-balanced and integrated, maybe even a bit too smooth. If you enjoy Bach and enjoy the guitar, there's plenty to like in this set.”

THE MIDNIGHT SUN REC

Oorgo Rec'd this on Apr 11, 2008:
Street Cred: 1073 Rec's: 90
“This tune makes me think of hot cuban nights with a mix of New Orleans jazz. The trumpet playing is tremendous on this and all of their tracks. I can't say enough good things about this band.”

THE FLIP THE SCRIPT REC

thedrakester Rec'd this on Apr 8, 2008:
Street Cred: 2922 Rec's: 463
“Total flip in thoughts...while we try to download new ringtones to replace the manufacturers..this guy turns a manufacturer's ringtone into a very well crafted piece of music....I think that was my old motorola?..?.?”

THE NO PARENTS! REC

temper_day Rec'd this on Apr 10, 2008:
Street Cred: 239 Rec's: 18
“it builds up slow and finishes hard - makes you want to dance close, fast and sweaty. great party music.”

THE SIMPLY DELICIOUS REC

CraigH Rec'd this on Apr 10, 2008:
Street Cred: 11112 Rec's: 500
“Listening to Robinella bend Melanie's pitches and hit them right at the same time is a joy. Simple, and simply delicious. Covers should always be this good.”

THE MMM, PORK RINDS REC

gothamross Rec'd this on Apr 9, 2008:
Street Cred: 66 Rec's: 8
“Real country music from a time when country wasn't pop with a pinch of twang. Listen to this and you can practically taste the pork rinds and PBR.”

sable6 Rec'd this on Apr 9, 2008:
Street Cred: 10460 Rec's: 605
“lightly tripping across the arctic fandango”
